HISTORY
Johnny’s Restaurant is on the original site of the Evans Head iconic ‘Johnny’s Milk Bar’.

Johnny’s was owned and operated by the Feros family for many decades.

There are many affectionate recounts of stories by the locals today of the generosity and good will for the community by John & Claire Feros and their business which was popular with young & old- complete with pinballs, fish and chips and ice cups for the kids.

Johnny’s Restaurant is a social enterprise owned and operated by the Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centre, a local not for profit organisation.

As a social enterprise, Johnny’s Restaurant works in conjunction with our ‘sister’ business, Chill Café to offer a wide range of hospitality training and employment for our local community members.

Johnny’s Restaurant does not receive any government funding and is committed to redistributing any profits into social programs and creating more employment opportunities via the Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centre.

Johnny’s Restaurant are passionate about providing a high quality dining experience. The skilled chefs prepare menu items on the premises using only the freshest ingredients from local small businesses, producers and suppliers. This supports the local economy, ensures the highest standard of food quality and provides our trainees, apprentices and employees with valuable skills and career opportunities.
