For a great family day out, don’t miss Beef Meets Reef @ Evans Head!
This year we are concentrating on having lots of fun activities for the children to make it an enjoyable family day out!
Sandcastles Early Education Centre are sponsoring a host of gold coin donation activities including Around the World Craft activities, face painting, jumping castle, circus workshop and show bags. Plus individual children can enter the dress up parade at 11:30 am with prizes from Muzza’s Milk Bar. There will also be other face painting, pedal cars, carnival rides, Old MacDonald’s Farm, pony rides, junior whip cracking demonstration, camel rides and junior tug-of war for the kids.
BUSKERS will be performing and judged at many vantage points among the market stalls to provide free entertainment all day. The best busker will perform at the main stage at 11:45 am just before the official opening.
Sly Brothers are sponsoring the prizes this year for the children and adult TUG-OF-WAR competition. Entry is FREE so line up for some great fun!
Some of the other entertainment will be a cattle display, vintage car displays, cooking displays, camel rides,essential services displays and this will all be topped off with the SUMMERLAND CREDIT UNION STREET PARADE at 2:00 pm. There will also be a MON- STER RAFFLE and a CHOCOLATE WHEEL.
Schools are encouraged to get as many students dressed up in the national costume of any country as they can and march behind their school banner in the STREET PARADE. The street parade has prizes for the best school entry, individual entry and group entry.
There will be market stalls galore but with this year’s theme being ‘All around the World’ we have more food stalls to celebrate the food from different nations including Snags from around the World.
